Welcome to the Simply Natural Sustainable Living web site.
For so many of us our current lifestyle has become anything but Simple, Natural or Sustainable. I am talking here about our move into 'out of control consuming', complication and chemicalisation/pollution of ourselves and our environment. A lifestyle where we have begun to look more like slaves and pawns on Life's Stage, than the independent, authentic people we could be. For many of us it is time to look into a way of life where we can take back more control and become more of an Authority in our Lives.
What is Simply Natural Sustainable Living?
Simply – to live simply means to live without the clutter, craving and obsession, so many of us live with now. By reducing our wants and greeds, we can live on very little and greatly reduce our negative impact on our lives and the environment. It is a different attitude of mind; to move out of our society's constraints.
Letting go of unnecessary and outworn things, labels, identities, beliefs; possessions (that end up possessing us). . . . . . is where real freedom lies. Free Yourself Up - declutter and simplify yourself, your life and your environment.
'Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.' Leonardo Da Vinci
Natural – or as Mother Nature or God intended, not as man (in his finite knowledge) insists things ‘should’ or ‘could’ be. Natural means chemical free and as close to the way Nature intended as possible. Natural is about working in accordance with Nature’s laws and rhythms, not against them.
Sustainable – now that is a big word. Sustainable is about reducing our footprint on the Earth. If you are replenishing what you take, then that is sustainable. Man’s influence on Life and Environment is sustainable when it is able to be maintained without resource depletion, and personal or environmental pollution.
Living – means to be alive or have life.

Each of us has the power to make some positive changes towards living a simpler, more natural and sustainable life by:
-
Learning to live better on less; slowing our spending is one of the first important steps to take towards a simpler life. Remembering it’s not what we earn, but how we spend it that is important.
-
Learning to produce the necessities of life. This is easier than you might think and more rewarding for ourselves, our pocket and the environment. Starting to cook from scratch or cleaning with non-chemical cleaners are some areas to look at.
-
Reclaiming and relearning the Knowledge and Skills that we have slowly given up, in return for our dependent, controlled, instant age – were everything is provided, but at what cost . . .?
-
Improving quality of life through sustainable choices.
-
Living in harmony with ourselves and our planet; eating local foods and eating within the seasons to be in harmony and balance in our selves and with Nature.
These are but a few changes we can look at in our lives.
